Unique gifts

I want to buy unique and different gifts for Christmas this year instead of buying the usual. Does anyone have any suggestions for great places to try?

If you looking for a gift for a woman, I can suggest you to check out my designs at http//:osoianudesign.etsy.com . I have a wide range of prices, all of my designs are exclusive and one of a kind, hand made pieces. I do have few holiday orders now, but still can squeeze in another one....

How about a reclaimed 100% cashmere scarf? They are under $40. Available at Sweet Petula (Madison Park), Monster (Ballard), Capers (West Seattle), Bouncing Wall (Queen Anne) and Sugar Sugar (Ballard). Who wouldn't love a little cashmere?

How about supporting the local economy and local artsist with truly one-of-a-kind gifts?

The Forgotten Works Challenge is a Seattle tradition! Fifty local artists had 30 days to complete 30 canvases each. The 1500 canvases are displayed in mass and sold for just $40 each!

This show and sale is a favorite of art lovers and the works displayed will run the gamut of styles and mediums...acrylic, oil, paper collage, encaustic wax....something for everyone's artistic style.

Big Opening Show and Sale - Thursday December 4th - 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Open Sale Day - Saturday December 6th - Noon to 5.p.m.

Location: The Tashiro Kaplan Artist's Lofts in the Community Room at 115 Prefontaine Place South in Pioneer Square http://www.tklofts.com:80/directions.html

A place that most people wouldn't know to shop at is Teatro Zinzanni across from the Seattle Center on Mercer St. It's a dinner theater, but they have a great boutique in the lobby with a bunch of cool and unique stuff. Great for someone who loves theater. It's open to the public and you don't need a ticket to the show to shop in the boutique. It's fun just to go inside. Very classy!

I'd suggest taking a drive over to the charming Magnolia Village. Just minutes from downtown, the Village is full of great shops and amazing restaurants. I own Vixen Day Spa and Boutique and we are stocked with all the things a woman could want. AFFORDABLE clothing, accessories, unique gift items and of course gift certificates for retail or spa services. Come see us, if we don't have what you want we can probably point you to someone close by who does!

For the Women, Children & Teenagers on your list; try Belts & Bangles by Josie Girl Designs. It's an up-and-coming Seattle based fashion accessory company focused on unique one-of-a-kind handcrafted fabric belts and oversized silk bangles. Fashionistas like Stacy London are wearing them. What a unique gift to give and receive for all the sylish girls in your life. Order online at www.josiegirldesigns.com There's even a coupon out there for 15% off your order through December 15th; KARYN15. Good luck!

One thing I always love to do is themed gift baskets. A great place to go do this is World Market. I have always gotten great response with them. You can do anything from a movie night basket, to a wine themed basket to kids basket with a bunch of little cheap toys and trinkets. Really there is no limit as to what you can do with them!

I love wandering around Pike Place Market and picking out hand-crafted/made gifts which helps support the locals and shows off the great things this area has to offer. This is especially great for people who don't live in Seattle or the surrounding area since it is even more unique. Check out some of the food vendors, one of which offers chocolate pasta! Great with ice cream!

If you want a funny gift, you may want to try buy time: www.haveagoodminute.com
he/she will always remember for this gift

Well, I don't get the point of that site. Did anyone of you buy such minute? What would it be used for?

Yes, I found few already... http://www.haveagoodminute.com/view-minute.html?st... for instance... Crazy :)

Now Christmas has gone but here is the website which could help you a lot for gifting at another occasion or this year on Christmas day.
